Hello from the North East of Scotland and Shelagh Metselaar. It has been some time since my work has been featured as an Ambassador for Hochanda but I’m back with a vengeance and have a selection of examples to share with you over the next few months.
The example shown here is quick and easy and displays two areas of Clarity Stamps products – Fresh Cut Dies and Groovi – to show that these may be used in conjunction very successfully and for any occasion.
Below the photo is a summary of how to make this. As a teacher of over thirty years, instructions etc are always presented as lesson plans from days of old! I have tried – and failed – to adopt other ways over the years I’ve been blogging!
Card/Paper – Card Blank – White; Stencil Card; Pale Blue Parchment
Card/Paper – Turquoise Matte Mirror Card; Pale Blue Gingham Card;
Miscellaneous – Blue Gingham Ribbon; Blue Miniature Safety Pins; Self-adhesive Gems
Step by Step Details
Die-cut ‘A Little Bird Told Me’ from matte turquoise mirror card, trim and attach to a rectangle of blue gingham card. Attach this to a larger rectangle of matching matte turquoise mirror card. Add this to a white card blank.
Cut two strips of gingham card – one to fit along foot of gingham rectangle and one down right hand side. Glue in place.
Cut two pieces of matte turquoise mirror card slightly shorter and narrower than those described in 2.) Reserve.
Emboss ‘Congratulations and Celebrations’ using the Groovi Occasions Border Plate onto pale blue parchment. Tear parchment above and below the words, wrap around the matte turquoise strip that fits the right-hand strip and attach.
For ‘A Baby Boy,’ construct the words by using letters from the same Occasions border plate on matching parchment and following instructions detailed in 4,) add to foot of card.
Add strip of gingham to foot of card blank. Add three gingham ribbon bows and mini safety pins.
