How to make the project

Step 1

Take the biggest piece of the white cardstock and score at 15cm and 7.5cm to make the base of the easel card.

Step2

Choose from Melina’s designer papers and cover the base of the easel. You will see that they all work so well with each other.

Step 3

Cut another piece of designer paper to fit the square piece of the card leaving a ½ cm border around the edge.

Step 4

Using a brush, colour through the mask with the distress ink of your choice, towards the top of the paper.

Step 5

Take the Flower Hugs stamp set and choose which flower design you would like and stamp this onto the paper. Also, stamp onto another coordinating piece which will be used to paper piece over the base stamping. Use the clear embossing powder when stamping the flowers for paper piecing as this makes them pop out from the design.

Step 6

Stamp out the Happy and the Birthday stamp from the Happy Cool set onto a piece of coordinating designer paper and colour the letters in with ink of your choice. This will make them appear bolder. This will be made into the tag to act as both the sentiment and the stopper for the easel card. Cut the end of the paper into a tag shape.

Step 7

Cut out and adhere to the paper pieced stamped flowers onto your design. As many or as little as you wish, it is your design so you decide.

Step 8

Using the dotty stamp on the set, pop a few here and there into the background to add a little dimension and detail.

Step 9

Stick the stamped piece onto the base card and position the sentiment tag as the stopper. The stopper piece will need to have some foam tape under it to lift it.

Step 10

To finish off the project add a little ribbon onto the tag and some gloss highlights into the middle of the flowers and on the sentiment to highlight these.
