Morning, I am incredibly excited to be sharing a post today for my own product launch. For a long while now I have been designing things for my own crafty stash or for friends. Now I have designed my own collection to share with all you wonderful crafters. I have ensured that it is unique as well as having many different uses to make the most of your investment.
The whole range can be used with anything you have in your stash already or things you might buy in the future. It’s been a journey of up’s and downs, I am so passionate about this, that it has been hard for me to keep it secret, so I can’t wait for my first Hochanda show at 4pm on 1st November.
Today, I am sharing a project I have made with one of the stencils and stamps. It would make a really smart card for any occasion a Birthday, Retirement or even a Get Well Soon card to lift the spirits. The collection is especially great for mens cards, which many people do find hard to make.
You will need:
- Craftascope Stencil ‘Trent’
- Clarity Landscape and Clouds Mask set
- Balloon Shapes or Templates
- Pebeo Drawing Gum
- 7″ x 7” White Stamping Card.
- 7 1/2″ x 7 1/2” Black Card
- 8″ x 8” Centura Pearl White Base Card
- Distress Inks: Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac
- Black Fine Liner pen
- Alcohol Markers
- Versafine Black Ink Pad
- Tacky Glue
- 3D Glue Gel
- Glossy Accents
Step 1: Create your background design using the Landscape Masks from Clarity. Use your darker Distress ink for the front layer, then the lighter shade behind.
Step 2: Position and trace a variety of balloons in the sky, getting smaller towards the corner for perspective.
Step 3: Add a cloud or two in the sky, one large enough for the sentiment. Mask them all with Pebeo Drawing Gum.
Step 4: Build up your sky, using shaded Lilac and Blueprint Sketch, try not to be too even with this to add texture to the sky.
Step 5: Remove the Drawing Gum and strengthen the line with a fine liner pen.
Step 6: Colour your balloons with your choice of alcohol markers and colours.
Step 7: Stamp ‘Let your Spirit Soar’ with Versafine black ink.
Step 8: Trace some more balloons , colour them and cut out with scissors.
Step 9: Using the stencil ‘Trent’, position over the balloons, ink through with Versafine black ink.
Step 10: Layer your card onto a black mat leaving a narrow border, then mount onto your base card. Secure the extra balloons in place with 3D glue gel, then coat with glossy accents for the beautiful shine.
