Morning, I’ve had the pleasure of crating with the wonderful Autumn 3 Way overlay stamps from Clarity. I always look forward to discovering new ways to use and display them, they are a joy to use, please don’t think they are difficult to use, they are so easy to position and line up. Of course they also look spectacular used separately, for even more versatility.
Do watch Barbara’s show on Sunday 28th at 2pm for lots of inspiration and amazing demos.
You will need:
  • Clarity Autumn 3 Way Overlay Stamps (Leaf)
  • Beauty Word Chain Set 12
  • Archival Black Ink
  • 5 x 5” Stamping Card
  • 5 1/2 x 5 1/2” Black Card
  • 6 x 6” White Card Base
  • Copier paper for a mask
  • Selection of Distress Oxides: Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, Hickory Smoke, Salty Ocean, Brushed Corduroy, Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn, Carved Pumpkin and Wild Honey.
Step 1: Roughly stamp the outline onto scrap paper and cut it out to create a mask.

Single Stamp

Step 2: Stamp your outline stamp on your project, then mask and stamp the next one as shown.

Multiple stamps

Step 3: Continue masking and adding another, slightly rotating each one.

Step 4: Use the oxides to add the in fill and out fill, you will need to use the mask again for this step. Try to keep to the colours to represent each season, I’ve used yellow/green for spring, to brown for winter and used a mix of the warm colours for the autumn.
