OUR LATEST CRAFT SUPPLIERS
Over this coming week we have another four fantastic new craft suppliers joining us. We’re looking forward to welcoming them to the The Craft Store family, but before we do, here’s a little bit about them and what you can expect. Read on and then tune in at show time!
Golden Hinde Embroidery – Thursday 30th April – 1pm
Golden Hinde specialises in Goldwork Embroidery and will be bringing some of their beautifully elegant kits to The Craft Store. Sarah Rakestraw is the owner of Golden Hinde and her love of gold work and many other embroidery techniques can be seen in each piece of work crafted and designed by herself. Discussing her passion for this type of embroidery, Sarah says…
“My love of gold work started whilst watching my mum for many years, designing clothes and making costumes for school plays. She worked on a banner for my school for two years, all worked in gold work this banner is paraded with my old school St Thomas’s every walking day displaying its beauty as it ripples in the sunshine to this day”.
Felting with Gilliangladrag – Friday 1st May – 3pm
Gilliangladrag is a Surrey based ‘Fluff-a-torium’ that believe in making stuff that makes you happy. They specialise in the following textile crafts: Felting, knitting, crochet, weaving, embroidery, stitching, spinning, sewing and punch needle. If you’re the kind of crafter that believes in keeping a well stocked stash of wools and inspiration items then you’ll find a lot to enjoy with this show that celebrates all things bright and fluff-i-full. Their beautifully colourful kits offer unique designs to complement all your current sewing skills, and give you plenty of scope to try new ones.
DoodleCraft Design – Sunday 3rd May – 9am
This family run business owned by Debbie and Gavin Harding will be bringing you a wonderful range of unique products. These include ‘Stitch-your-Own’ Games Boards, Painting-by-Stitching, Creating-by-Stitching and many more! If you’re a keen stitcher, or would like to expand your stitching repertoire then this is one for you. Talking about Doodlecraft, Debbie said…
“In addition to the more traditional designs for cross stitch I am trying to include blackwork which is a discipline that I have fallen in love with. I am also taking my own ‘doodles’ which I have created for many years and finding a way to include these into the designs.”
Helen McCook Embroidery – Monday 4th May – 10am
Helen McCook has been teaching and designing embroidery all around the world! She’s now bringing her expert knowledge and beautiful products to The Craft Store with a range of impressive embroidery kits. Each come with all the instructions and elements provided so you can make her beautiful designs at home. This promises to be a really inspirational show. One that will showcase all manner of lovely embroidery, product related ephemera and accoutrements to help bring projects to life.
